On World Cancer Day 2023, Confiz sponsored the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre (SKMH&RC) “Ride to Close the Care Gap: 5K Challenge” to promote its mission of providing quality cancer care as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts.

On Sunday, February 5th, cyclists from prominent clubs, including Gulberg Cycling Club, Model Town Cycling Club, Cycling Defence Lahore, Lions Club, and children and doctors, embarked on a 5-kilometer journey. The rally started at 8.30 AM from Model Town and concluded at the SKMH Hospital in Johar Town, Lahore. The volunteers were greeted by Confiz and Shaukat Khanum teams.

Confiz employees also joined the challenge to support the cause. This initiative aimed to raise funds for the third and largest Shaukat Khanum Hospital in Karachi and to bridge the care gap for cancer patients in southern parts of the country.

Confiz has a history of supporting organizations that fight for a cause and is proud to continue this practice under its CSR efforts. Besides sponsoring the Ride to Close the Care Gap: 5K Challenge with a generous donation of PKR 0.5 million, Confiz previously donated PKR 19.5 million to support the treatment costs for two cancer patients at SKMH. This has reinforced our commitment to promoting equitable access to cancer treatment and supporting SKMH’s mission.
