Confiz leads with purpose this Pinktober through awareness, education, and wellness initiatives 

In solidarity with the global Pinktober movement, Confiz joined millions worldwide in spreading awareness about breast cancer — a disease that puts 1 in 9 women at risk — highlighting the importance of education, early detection, and collective support. 

Reinforcing its commitment to community well-being, Confiz partnered with Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre (SKMCH&RC) to observe Pinktober through an interactive awareness session and office-wide engagement activities. The initiative aimed to educate employees about breast health, encourage preventive practices, and promote early diagnosis. 

The session, held at the Confiz headquarters, was coordinated by Mahnam Khan (Assistant Manager, Corporate Communication & Marketing Ops at Confiz) and Arslan Arshad (Manager, Corporate Resource Development at Shaukat Khanum) and led by Dr. Zehra Rizvi (Presenter) and Dr. Yameena Nadeem (Moderator) from SKMCH&RC. Together, they delivered an informative and interactive talk that highlighted practical ways to recognize risk factors, detect symptoms early, and seek timely treatment. 

Dr. Rizvi opened the session by discussing the rising number of breast cancer cases in Pakistan and how awareness serves as the first step towards prevention. She shared insights into common causes and risk factors, including genetics, age, and lifestyle, and outlined diagnostic approaches that can help identify the disease in its early stages. 

Dr. Yameena expanded these insights with a hands-on explanation of self-examination techniques and the importance of annual screening mammography. She also presented Shaukat Khanum’s four-step plan for breast health — awareness, lifestyle modification, early detection, and immediate treatment upon diagnosis. The discussion concluded with an engaging Q&A segment, during which employees had the opportunity to ask questions and clarify any misconceptions. 

To keep the message alive beyond the session, Confiz CC & EB representatives distributed pink ribbons, educational brochures, and posters throughout the office, encouraging employees to stay vigilant and spread awareness in their communities. 

As part of its ongoing efforts to promote health and preventive care, Confiz partnered with Chughtai Labs through an MoU to provide employees with access to the Chughtai Pink Card“. The card offers exclusive health benefits and discounted screenings, encouraging team members to prioritize regular check-ups and early detection. This collaboration reflects Confiz’s continued commitment to employee well-being and adds meaningful depth to the Pinktober initiative, turning awareness into action and care into lasting impact.
