On the 14th of August 2023, Confiz joined the nationwide celebrations of Pakistan’s 76th Independence Day, paying homage to the spirit of freedom. The event resonated with unity, patriotism, and a collective appreciation for the sacrifices that have paved the way for a brighter future for our beloved country.
Our teams gathered at Confiz’s headquarters in Lahore, Pakistan, for a special event commemorating the historic day. The celebration transcended physical boundaries, as remote employees from various locations including Lahore, Islamabad, Karachi, Dubai, and Bentonville joined the celebration virtually.
Confiz’s leadership, including Muhammad Raza Saeed (Chief Executive Officer) and Affan Aijaz (Global Director – People and Culture), were also part of the momentous occasion.
Embracing the spirit of Independence, every individual at Confiz wore the symbolic green and white colors, representing the nation’s flag. The event was organized by Confiz Crew, the dedicated body responsible for orchestrating events and creating captivating experiences at Confiz.
Maqsood Hassan, the event host and Project Manager at Confiz, kicked off the celebration with a powerful speech. He acknowledged the recent challenges the country has faced. However, his words were laced with optimism and hope, serving as a poignant reminder that the celebration was more than just the status quo and honored those who have paved the path toward a brighter tomorrow.
Addressing the colleagues, Maqsood said, “Today, we have come together to commemorate the 76th Independence Day of our beloved nation. I encourage every one of you to reach for the best within yourselves, carry forward the spirit of our Quaid’s timeless wisdom and remember that with faith, discipline, and selfless devotion to duty, there is nothing worthwhile that you cannot achieve.”
Maqsood also represented the Confiz community at the flag-raising ceremony where everyone gathered outside Confiz premises to proudly lift the Pakistani flag and chant patriotic slogans. To further amplify the Independence Day spirit, our colleagues sang the National Anthem and came together as one.
Following the ceremony, the event took a more interactive turn with engaging general knowledge trivia. Colleagues displayed their knowledge and wit, enthusiastically answering questions, and were rewarded with baskets full of delightful goodies.
The celebration continued with a ceremonial cake-cutting led by Fahid Ilyas (Director of Professional Services) and Affan Aijaz (Global Director – People and Culture).
A notable moment of the day was the energizing drum circle that proved to be a great way for colleagues to alleviate stress, break down hierarchical barriers, and come together as a cohesive team to commemorate the nation’s Independence.
Confiz’s celebration of Pakistan’s Independence Day embodied its values of unity, resilience, and hope. We take immense pride in commemorating Pakistan’s 76 years of Independence and hope to continue sharing this honor with the Confiz family for years to come.
